Pertinent Airports for Traveling to the Wedding and Airport Codes:
There are a number of options when looking at flights. The first thing to remember is that you need to shop around. We have found that the prices can vary as much as $500 for a ticket. Book your tickets as soon as you know your dates because availability is low and prices can go up fast. For those coming from the US you are looking at prices between $1200-$2000, the UK and Europe £600-800 (have a look at Turkish airlines they also have great deals). Below is information on airport locations, codes, recommended websites and other general flight information. Feel free to contact us if you have any problems or questions about flights.
Lusaka (LUN) - Capital of Zambia and located about 5 hours from Livingstone/Victoria Falls. If you choose to fly into Lusaka please make sure you have discussed it will us before you buy your tickets. We will only be doing a pick up in Lusaka on Friday 26th, otherwise we will assume you will be organizing your own transportation to Victoria Falls.
Livingstone (LVI) - This is a option for anyone coming from or through Johannesburg. Three flights a day come into this airport around midday. The airline you want to look at are 1time (great budget option), South African Airways (SAA) and British Airways (BA). Transport can be provide from this airport please just let us know the date and time you will be arriving.
Victoria Falls (VFA) - This airport has flights coming in from both Harare and Johannesburg. Again pick up will be provided from this airport.
Johannesburg (JNB) - This is the major hub for Southern Africa. This airport usually has the best deals for flights coming from overseas. However, if your flight arrives in the evening or later than the flights departing for Vic Falls (between 10am-12pm) you may have to spend the night in a hotel before catching a connecting flight. We do advise that you try to avoid staying the night in Johannesburg unless you have friends or are familiar with the area.
