We will probably do a combination of camping and staying at one of the luxury bush camps. We are still working on the details for this trip and we need to get a better idea of numbers as well. Below is some information on the three luxury camps in this area as well as some information about camping and the National Park.
Luxury Camps
1. Somilisa Camp
This camp is set in the heart of Hwange National Park, known as the land of the giants for its big elephant herds. The bathrooms are private and en-suite consisting of bucket showers under the stars with flush toilet facilities.

2. Makalolo Plains Camp
Makalolo Plains Camp is built on elevated wooden decks providing magnificent views over the Somavundla Pan in front of the camp. Accommodation is luxurious in ten spacious tented rooms with en-suite facilities, private verandas and outdoor showers for a close to nature-feel. The tents are linked to the main area by wooden walkways. The lighting in the rooms is battery-powered to ensure peace and quiet in the camp. The main area at Makalolo includes a lounge, pub, plunge pool and dining area where scrumptious meals are served.

3. Little Makalolo Camp
This simple little camp has just six ground-based guest tents and a pleasant central area, all overlooking a productive waterhole. The camp is set within its own private concession and conducts vehicle safari by day and night, walking safari and also has access to a number of excellent hides.
