After the wedding we encourage everyone to enjoy a few days at one of the many safari options in the region. We have decided to organize a trip to the south east section of Hwange National Park. However, Vic Falls in in close proximity to the Chobe in Botswana, the Okavango Delta, Botwana is also within a days drive and the Kafwe National Park in Zambia. Below is a map of the region locating some of the main parks.

Below is a chart that explains the best time of the year to visit the different parks in the region. As you can see both the Chobe and Hwange fall into a good game viewing category at this time of the year. The Okavango and Savute are also good options in Botswana.
Unfortunately Africa has become a fairly expensive place to visit and there are very few mid range options available in the region when looking at safaris. Having said that being out in the African bush is a priceless experience that you won't forget.
For those of you on a budget the national parks have some basic lodge and camping accommodation in many of the national parks. You will have to pre book but it is a relatively simple process. We will be organizing any camping or other accommodation in Hwange so just drop us an email and let us know you preference on accommodation.
